WALTHAM, Mass., March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tecogen^® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced the sale of two InVerde^® Ultra, INV-100, combined heat and power (CHP) systems to a 45 story, all-suite hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The units will cut annual energy costs by an estimated $118,000 and through Tecogen's patented low emissions system, Ultra, nearly eliminate the production of criteria pollutants and compounds contributing to smog. The units will also provide the hotel with emergency back-up power.

The two Tecogen units will provide electricity, space heating and domestic hot water to the hotel. In addition, the Tecogen units will offset the hotel's annual CO₂ per year carbon production by 607 tons, the equivalent of taking 469 cars off the road.
